History

The Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators (WALA) was chartered on January 16, 1978.

WALA Award of Excellence
Criteria for Award:  Nominee must:  1) be a Regular Member as defined in the Chapter Bylaws or a recent Former Member (recently departed due to retirement, job transition, left industry, but recently served as a WALA volunteer and 2) have/had been a WALA member for a minimum of five years.

In 2005, WALA began the Award of Excellence recognition program.  Awardees are:

National Awards 

Each year, chapters may submit applications for various national awards at the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Annual National Conference. Since 1990, WALA has been awarded numerous times for its commitment to the legal community.
